| The Election is Already Underway in Minnesota – vote now in the 2026 General Election! |

Election day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

This year, Minnesotans will vote to decide who they want to be their next U. S. Senator, Governor, along with who they want to represent them in congress, the legislature, and more.

The absentee voting period in Minnesota begins Friday, September 18, which allows you to vote early by mail or in-person.

• Vote early by mail:   Download an absentee ballot application. Once the application is returned to the proper county election office and approved, an absentee ballot will be sent in the mail.  (Track your absentee ballot to make sure it’s counted!)
• Vote early in-person:  Visit a designated early voting location to cast an absentee ballot in-person.  In most cases, these locations are county or city offices.
• Early Voting – 18 days:  Minnesota law now allows for 18 days of direct balloting/early voting when voters can feed their ballot directly into the ballot counter, just like on election day.
• Election Day:  Use the poll-finder to find your election day polling place.
